Fall 2026 Student Survey
How we handle your data.
Plainly: your answers are for understanding students, and your email is for the gift card. We keep the two apart.
Your answers
Survey answers are stored separately from your contact details and are analysed and reported in aggregate. Open-ended comments may be read by Hillel Ontario staff and quoted without any identifying details.
Your university email
We ask for it to confirm you are a current student, to make sure each student completes the survey once, and to send your gift card. It is not added to any mailing list. If you also say yes to updates, the contact details you give for that are used only for that purpose and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Keeping the survey honest
Because there is a gift card, we take ordinary steps to keep out automated and repeat submissions: a bot check from Cloudflare, timing of each page, general device characteristics and a one-way hash of your network address. None of this is used for anything other than deciding whether a submission is genuine, and it is deleted when the survey analysis is complete.
